Strategic Planning From Planning to Execution

Course overview

Strategic planning creates value only when it leads to clear choices, coordinated action, measurable results, and disciplined execution. Organizations often invest significant effort in developing strategic plans but struggle to translate broad ambitions into priorities, initiatives, ownership, resources, performance measures, and management routines that sustain implementation.

This five-day course provides a complete practical framework for moving from strategic analysis and direction setting to execution and performance review. Participants will examine environmental analysis, stakeholder expectations, vision and mission, strategic objectives, strategic choices, scenario thinking, initiative design, prioritization, KPIs, resource alignment, risk, governance, communication, execution discipline, and strategic review.

The program is workshop-based and enables participants to build the major components of a strategic plan step by step. By the end of the course, participants will understand not only how to formulate strategy, but also how to convert it into an executable roadmap supported by clear accountability, performance measures, review mechanisms, and corrective action.

Training methodology

The course uses an applied methodology combining short presentations, strategic-analysis exercises, case studies, stakeholder mapping, environmental scanning, SWOT and TOWS analysis, scenario exercises, objective-setting workshops, strategy mapping, initiative prioritization, KPI design, execution planning, risk analysis, performance-review simulations, group discussion, and action planning. Participants progressively develop an integrated strategy-to-execution framework based on realistic organizational challenges.
