Course overview
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) has advanced significantly since its inception in the 1970s. Initially focused on purchasing insurance, ERM has grown into a critical organizational function that integrates with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). This comprehensive system begins with corporate governance and culminates in compliance, ensuring that risks are systematically identified, assessed, and mitigated to help organizations achieve their objectives.
This course is based on the globally recognized ERM framework designed by the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO). Participants will explore the step-by-step process of controlling risk, starting with evaluating the internal environment, setting objectives aligned with corporate vision and governance, and identifying and responding to risks effectively. The course also addresses risk monitoring, communication, and reporting, with a focus on various organizational and industry-specific risk categories, such as strategic, operational, financial, and compliance risks
