Anger & Stress Management

Course overview

Anger and stress are natural responses to demanding situations, but when they are poorly managed they can affect judgment, communication, relationships, health, and professional performance. The ability to recognize emotional pressure early and respond to it constructively is therefore an essential personal and workplace competency.

This course equips participants with practical techniques for understanding and managing stress and anger before they escalate into unproductive behavior. Participants will explore the relationship between thoughts, emotions, physical reactions, and behavior; identify personal triggers and warning signs; and practice techniques for emotional regulation, cognitive reframing, assertive communication, and conflict de-escalation.

The program also addresses workplace sources of pressure, including workload, competing priorities, difficult interactions, unrealistic expectations, and lack of boundaries. Participants will learn how to build healthier coping patterns, strengthen resilience, and create a Personal Anger and Stress Management Plan for sustained improvement.

Training methodology

This course combines self-assessment, facilitated discussion, practical exercises, workplace case studies, role plays, trigger-mapping activities, cognitive reframing exercises, breathing and relaxation techniques, communication practice, and personal action planning. Participants will work with realistic professional situations to identify ineffective reaction patterns and practice more constructive responses to stress, anger, conflict, and pressure.
